Quantum of Solace (2008)

James Bond's latest adventure is unfortunately anything but impressive. The chase sequences seems weaker, the fight scenes are unimpressive and the story line is in famous Bond style rather weak.

Much of the reason Bond have lost its appeal is because we've seen it done better, smarter, funnier and faster before. To me Daniel Craig doesn't even come close to have the charisma to own the movie enough to cast his shadow over the mentioned problems. These days he's not only trying to work his way out of the shadow of actors like Sean Connery and Roger Moore, but he also got to compete with what characters Ethan Hunt and Jason Bourne have brought to the table the past 15 years.

Where Bond once always could rely on his special weapons and equipment to buy himself some entertainment value, this movie doesn't make the cut in any ways. I'll rather revisit Jason Bourne or Ethan Hunt than ever watch Quantum of Solace again. Hopefully Bond will be back in better shape next time around, because you can be sure there will be a next time.
