Ryan Reynolds have been doing some surprisingly, too me, good movies lately, but Just Friends is not one of them. It's not original, it's not charming and it's not funny. In fact it tries to be all three, but fails on so many levels.
Along with Reynolds is Amy Smart and Anna Farris in the leading roles, and none of them manage to elevate their characters anywhere near the level needed to feel much about this movie. I guess it's possible to give the movie credit for trying to be funny without going for immature sexual or toilet humor, but I just found it more embarrassing than funny.
