There's something about... Isla Fisher

Isla Lang Fisher
3 February 1976
My favorite Isla-role: Gloria (Wedding Crashers)
Easy choice as on-screen sister: Amy Adams

Whether she's the lovely alluring Luvlee in The Lookout, the sex-craving nymphomaniac Gloria in Wedding Crashers, the lovable best friend April in Definitely, Maybe or the whimsical, impulsive and naive Katie from Wedding Daze, Isla Fisher brings a joy to the characters that reminds me of how Drew Barrymore does much of the same with her characters.

Isla haven't exactly been lining up interesting lead roles, but however small her parts are it truly seems like she enjoys bringing them to life. At least that's what shines through, so if she doesn't that just speaks of even higher acting qualities. A win-win if I ever knew one.

Scottish parents, born in Oman in the Middle-East and made her acting marks through the Australian soap Home & Away as Shannon Reed in the mid-90's. (I actually recently viewed a screen-shot from her Home & Away role, and I actually remember her character from back then. Even back then there obviously were something about her.) Anyway. Isla have bits and pieces of the world with her when she now charms her way through Hollywood.

Red hair. Disarming body-language and a great smile, both able to steal scenes as well as take the characters to their peak. Charisma. Charm. There's more than just a little something about Isla.
